Development of Remote Decontamination Equipment (Project of Decommissioning and Contaminated Water Management)
Summary
Remote decontamination technology is important as a core method for removing contamination of radioactive materials from inside reactor buildings in order that work can be carried out continuously within reactor buildings for decommissioning. Remote decontamination technology development is completed for low areas on the first floor, but in order to further effectively reduce spatial dose rates, we developed the decontamination equipment that can handle a variety of objects and forms of contamination in high places (ceilings, etc.), and the second and upper floors.
